Everything Breaks offers five different vehicle coverage plans for its customers. From highest to the lowest level of coverage, the plans include: Critical Coverage, Standard Powertrain, Enhanced Powertrain, Deluxe Plan, and Top-Line. Depending on your needs and the needs of your particular vehicle, one of these plans will be better suited for you than the others.

Critical Coverage (As Seen on TV)

The Critical Coverage plan is the most basic plan offered by Everything Breaks and is promoted as their “as seen on TV” deal. This coverage plan includes all the benefits of a protection plan, such as 24/7 roadside assistance. It also guarantees 50 percent paid on mechanical repairs for your vehicle and gives you coverage in all 50 states.

Standard Powertrain

This plan covers the components of your vehicle’s powertrain, including key components of the engine and transmission. However, other vital components such as the A/C & heating, steering, suspension, brakes and more are not covered. It is available for vehicles up to 20 years old with 250,000 miles or less on the odometer.

Enhanced Powertrain

This is the more comprehensive version of the Standard Powertrain plan and covers the same engine and transmission components as the Standard Powertrain plan. It also includes the electrical components such as the alternator, starter motor, and the starter solenoid. All major parts of your vehicle’s fuel system, cooling system and various drive axel components are also covered. Hybrid components such as generators, transaxles and electronic transmissions are also covered in this plan

Deluxe Plan

The Deluxe Plan offers more coverage than the lower levels of coverage offered by Everything Breaks. It will also only cover vehicles with 175,000 miles or less. Overall, this plan covers all the major components of the engine, transmission, drive axle, transfer case, A/C & heating, suspension and more. You will also have complete coverage for electrical components, seals & gaskets, and all the same hybrid components as the Enhance Powertrain plan.

Top-Line

This is Everything Breaks’ exclusionary coverage plan. This plan is for vehicles with 175,000 miles or fewer on the odometer and offers complete coverage for your vehicle. Exclusionary coverage protects nearly every component of your vehicle and will help keep it running in the event of almost any mechanical issue.

Depending on how many miles are on your vehicle, the Enhanced Powertrain or Deluxe Plan may be your best option out of all five. While exclusionary coverage means that it is easier to list the things that aren’t covered rather than the things that are, most people won’t necessarily need that level of coverage. If you want to ensure that your mechanical components and engine are protected, either of these plans will be sufficient.

Membership to Everything Breaks comes with various extra incentives and benefits that help make you safer on the road. These include 24/7 roadside assistance, ride shares to continue your trip when you experience a breakdown and rental car benefits. Awards & Accreditation

Everything Breaks is a relatively well-regarded extended warranty company that has good reviews from customers and offers a robust customer service experience. They are accredited by the Better Business Bureau and have an A+ rating with 4.38 stars out of 5, making them a good choice if you want a quality company to provide your extended warranty. The BBB also notes that there have only been 4 complaints closed within the last year and only 5 total in the last 3 years.

One thing to keep in mind, though, is that they are relatively new when it comes to auto coverage. They have been around for over 20 years covering electronics and other household items, but vehicles are a recent undertaking from them. Because of this, they have not yet been certified by the Vehicle Protection Association.

Customer Service

Everything Breaks claims to offer a very friendly and courteous customer service experience to its clients. They will advocate for you and even help negotiate prices down with mechanics and service providers. Their philosophy with customer service is to be on your side throughout the whole process so you can focus on getting your vehicle back. However, in some reviews, customers have complained that service has been slower than was expected. Some customers also claimed that their communication was not as high-quality as hoped.

Customer Reviews

As Everything Breaks covers just about “everything,” reviews are mixed between the different items, appliances, and vehicles. However, those regarding their vehicle protection plans note that Everything Breaks covered components such as audio players. Another review notes that Everything Breaks helped negotiate a lower price to repair brakes and helped cover 20% of the due owed by the car owner.
