OVERALL IMPRESSION
An extended warranty is coverage that you can purchase for your vehicle after your factory warranty has expired. Often referred to as a vehicle service contract, extended warranties help cover the cost of both parts and labor when dealing with an expensive breakdown.
A GWC extended warranty covers various components on your vehicle, depending on the coverage that you choose. Currently, GWC offers two levels of protection to choose from, both being great choices for the type of coverage you need.
Purchase
Coverage Options Offered
When you call to purchase a GWC extended warranty coverage, you will be offered one of the following protection plans for your vehicle.
Exclusionary Coverage
Exclusionary coverage protects hundreds of components on your vehicle, with starting mileage up to 150,000 miles. Since this plan offers total protection, most opt for this coverage level to feel confident when driving. While the GMW Exclusionary Coverage covers a majority of components, there will be a few exclusions that can be found listed in your policy plan.
Stated Component Coverage
The GWC stated component coverage plan lists out specific parts and systems (including your powertrain components) that are covered under the contract for your vehicle. This plan will cover the parts and labor needed to repair or replace the component and is available on vehicles with starting mileage up to 200,000 miles.
Most plans also come with 24/7 roadside assistance, rental car/substitute transportation, and trip interruption.
How Much Does A GWC Extended Warranty Cost?
Since GWC Warranty offers two different warranties and each plan will be different depending on your vehicle, the GWC extended warranty cost will differ. Customers have been known to pay anywhere from $2,000 to $5,000 for coverage.
Most automotive extended warranties in the $1,000-$2,500 range, so if you think about how much it would cost to replace some of the larger items in your vehicle, it is usually well worth the money.
How Do I Get A GWC Warranty?
To purchase a GWC warranty, you will have to purchase a plan through one of their many authorized dealerships across the United States. Currently, GWC warranty does not offer extended warranties to be purchased directly from their company. When purchasing a vehicle, you can ask your dealership if they are a GWC Warranty partner.
